Fighting back
Although this plant like the others is a very destructive and picky plant, there are indeed ways to defeat them. Scroll down more to find out so we can eradicate the evil plant.
Harder ways
The (arguably) the hardest way we can get rid of these plants is pulling them out of the ground by hand. We could pull out the seedlings by hand, however the root itself is difficult to remove(19). If the roots are left there, they will simply just re-sprout(19).
Fire
An easier way to get rid of them is using fire to kill these plants. Fire will also kill seedlings but will also top kill larger plants, which will stimulate root suckering(19). Fire without integrated treatment with herbicides may increase the stem density but two or three times(19).
Herbicides
The easiest and most effective way is herbicides( as usual). Before applying any herbicide, check the label before initiating(20). You could apply 2 percent glyphosate in water, or an alternative would be to put 1 to 3 percent triclopyr in water to the healthy foliage(20). Basal bark: Apply 20-30 percent solution of triclopyr ester in basal oil(20).Cut Stump: If you were to cut the stem, it would stimulate root suckering( sprouting), which would increase the stem density(20). You should only cut when you have applied herbicides, but it may not translocate all the way to the end of the root system(20). 10-20 percent solution of triclopyr or alternatively a 20-25 percent glyphosate solution can be used with checking on to ensure the herbicides are working(20).
